orn in December of 1984, Thomas R. Hunt III found his inspiration through art at a very young age. While attending school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he became a member of the local Center for the Arts. Thomas increasingly became involved in developing his skills of sketching, drawing, and technical pen. In high school, Thomas received Silver Key Awards for pencil drawing submissions in local Scholastic Art competitions. Thomas' artwork could be seen displayed in t he annual local Arts Festival. Thomas demonstrated innovative expression in ceramics and had the opportunity to work under the direction of outstanding artists, such as Kevin Crowe and Jack Troy. Thomas would go on to become a certified videographer and have his first introduction to the beginning concepts of filming. Thomas was able to assist with the equipment lighting on the film "Graduation" directed by Mike Mayer.

pon graduation from high school, Thomas was accepted into Edinboro University of Pennsylvania Applied Media Arts program with a concentration in Animation and Conceptual Design. Soon after, while maintaining good academic standing, Thomas began to surpass his involvement past classroom time, by becoming highly involved in the Edinboro Animation Organization. By doing so, Thomas became a contributor to the animation and concepts of the short independent film "24 Frames" by Bradford Pattullo. Thomas was a later requested to illustrate the gallery tickets for Chimera's annual fund raising soirée, in which two of Thomas' technical pen pieces were featured in the exhibition. Thomas also participated in Edinboro's annual Student Collaborative Film Project as primary concept artist and character designer. Upon Graduation, Thomas worked on preliminary concepts for the pilot series Dead Space, written by Steve Fardys and currently proposed to the Sci Fi Channel.

homas’ love for art has since been shown in several local Gallery Shows. Most notably, the Butler Art Gallery’s “Art of Horror Show” where he received the coveted “Best in Show” award and an honorable mention. Thomas now splits his time between working as an Art Director for the invention firm Jacob Enterprises and imaginative freelance concepts and ideations for independent clients.
